We custom handcraft straps to meet your needs and will help you design a totally made to order project. Another option we offer for instrument straps is to start with the basic materials and add one of our three upgrade packages: Performer Series, Musician Series, & Artist Edition. We also offer non-custom handmade straps and accessories to compliment the instrument gear and stage image of touring artists, casual musicians, fans, and anyone desiring American handcrafted products.
It takes time to handcraft the fine quality items we produce. Small handcrafted accessories usually have a quicker delivery time, and usually require full payment in advance. If you do not see an item of interest on our website, contact us to express your interest and receive pricing.
Deposits & Payment Arrangements
Due to the nature of custom made-to-order merchandise, there is often a waiting list. You can contact us for a free preliminary price quote that is good for 30 days. Due to increases in operations and supplier costs, prices are subject to change thereafter without notice. Should you anticipate moving forward after 30 days, a non-refundable deposit of $20 will honor this preliminary price quote for up to 90 days, and you will be added to our waiting list of preliminary scheduled production. This amount will be applied against your Design Deposit or balance payment when you are ready to secure your order. All outstanding quotes that exceed 90 days without Design Deposit will be no longer be valid and the $20 pricing deposit will be forfeited. Any strap or product priced up to $250.00 requires full payment in advance. Products priced beyond this amount require a non-refundable Design Deposit of 50% of total price or $250.00 (whichever is greater) to begin the design and selection process by our team of talented designers. This also reserves a tentative spot in our production schedule until a reasonable start date can be estimated.
Once Design Deposit is made we move you into design phase and begin working with you on specific design selections and details. When these selections are approved by you, a more accurate estimated quote is given and your remaining balance may be required or at least another installment before we order materials and begin crafting your custom project. At this time we release your project to production and give you a tentative start date. After your project is released to production, progress updates will reach you via email or phone. You will be notified, in advance, of a tentative shipping date for delivery. The balance is due at that time, upon complete satisfaction. At times, for proper fitting of “product to instrument”, it is necessary that we personally deliver the strap. If this should happen, the client will be responsible to make all arrangements including travel expense for this meeting.
If a custom product is being ordered for someone other than the client, as a surprise or gift certificate, a deposit can still be placed to reserve production but the full amount in advance must be paid before design selection begins regardless of price range. Deposits and payments for all items can be made via credit card on our order page through PayPal. Checks are gladly accepted, but they must clear the bank before progress can begin.

Price Range
Special customized straps require further, in depth, discussion in regards to design choices. We will be happy to provide a free, preliminary quote once the specifics are discussed. Once the price is agreed upon and the deposit is paid, the price will only increase per client's final approved selections or if additional work is requested that has not been discussed. 100% customer satisfaction, from conception to completion, is our goal before we even start crafting the strap. Exotic materials such as snakeskin require an extra surcharge in addition to deposit. For those interested, contact us to discuss these special applications.
Liability Clause
CT Music Straps Inc. or any of its representatives are not responsible for any damage done to the client’s musical instrument after delivery has taken place, upon receipt, and all modifications to the strap are completed with the final fitting. Future adjustments in regards to the “hole attachment tightness” are not included after initial fitting due to normal wear and tear, although a representative will be more than happy to assess the strap and determine a surcharge.
Limited Maintenance Warranty
Striving for the best craftsmanship and LOW MAINTENANCE, these straps still need care and are not indestructible. The leather and stitching of each CT Music Strap is backed by a 5 year, non-transferable, maintenance warranty upon receipt of delivery to cover general quality and craftsmanship. Under normal usage during the warranty period there is no charge for repairs. In some cases where abusive action is suspected, a qualified representative of CT Music Straps will be required to assess the extent of the damage and determine if covered by our limited warranty.
Special settings, such as rhinestones, are covered for up to 1 year from delivery date for adhesion and mounting quality. CT Music Straps will not be responsible for breakage of rhinestones due to abuse or neglect. The color and finish on our straps is designed to be long-wearing and water damage resistant. Avoid bringing leather articles in contact with chemicals such as alcohol or acetone as they can remove some finish, yet the product can be repaired. Excessive wear and tear, to be assessed by CT Music Straps, will be at the cost of the client. A qualified representative of CT Music Straps Inc. shall make this assessment.
Extended warranty plans can be purchased separately for touring artists that subject their instrument gear to heavy wear and tear. Contact us for details on this monthly maintenance plan.
Parental Consent for Minors
There is no minimum age limit required by law to purchase a custom strap from CT Music Straps Inc. However, we believe in family values and parental authority. If you are under 18 years of age, you shall receive a preliminary quote on a general design concept, but will require confirmation that you have parental consent before we discuss details and final pricing. Requirement of Parent or guardian’s giving consent to a representative of CT Music Straps either by phone or in person ensures that peaceful relationships are maintained as well as ability to meet the price quote, deposit and delivery expectations. In cases where parental authority has been relinquished to 3rd parties such as management groups that control some of the financial portion, they shall be considered competent to act on behalf of the artist who may still be a minor.
